CHRIS ADAMS, COO
Chris Adams
Chris Adams is the Chief Operating Officer for H2 Health. Chris has a passion for the clients we serve and ensuring that our clinical teams have the resources to do the job right. She oversees the day-to-day operations and administration of H2 Health. With a dedication to customer service and hands-on leadership, Chris has been with H2 Health and its predecessor Heartland Rehabilitation for over 25 years.
Prior to coming to H2 Health and Heartland, Chris graduated with a Master’s in Sports Medicine from the University of Florida. She received her undergraduate degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Chris has experience in a variety of settings including elite level sports medicine, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, industrial settings, and educational settings. With additional licenses/certifications in ergonomics, massage therapy, personal training, myofascial release/cranial sacral therapy and workers’ compensation, Chris teaches CEU’s for PT/ OT’s, nurse case managers, adjustors, industrial safety managers and ATC’s.
After work, Chris enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. An animal lover, Chris has worked with Boxer Rescue and other rescue organizations. She roots for the Florida Gators, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New England Patriots and loves watching all fast pitch softball.
PHILIP TALAMAS, CTO
Philip Talamas
Philip Talamas is the Chief Technology Officer for H2 Health. He is responsible for all things technology, including electronic medical records, healthcare staffing system, business applications, technology services, interoperability, IT security, cloud and digital technologies.
Prior to his work at H2 Health, Philip was a Managing Partner at Resourcive, a technology consulting organization serving private equity portfolio companies in Healthcare, Retail, and Professional Services industries. Throughout his career, Philip has successfully used technology to decrease costs and build capacity to support growth.
Philip has served on nonprofit boards and is currently a Board Member of the New Rochelle YMCA. He holds a BS in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology.
TIMOTHY HUGHES, CFO
Tim Hughes
Timothy Hughes is chief financial officer of H2 Health and responsible for all the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury and corporate finance. His career spans more than 30 years of varied experience in financial management, business leadership, and corporate strategy.
Prior to H2, Tim served CFO for Pilot Fiber, a fiber optic company based in New York City. Before that, from 2013 to 2016, he served as CFO for C&D Technologies a global manufacturer of backup power systems.
Earlier in his career, Tim worked advising distressed companies as an investment banker with UBS and as a consultant with Alverez & Marsal and Zolfo Cooper.
AMANDA STREETER, VP OF M&A
Amanda Streeter
Amanda Streeter is Vice President of M&A with H2 Health. Amanda graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a B.S. in Health Science. Prior to H2’s founding in 2020, Amanda was an Administrative Manger with Heartland Rehabilitation Services. In this role, she held numerous responsibilities including commercial leasing, payer contracting, training, and EMR support. In her current role with H2, Amanda has supported growth including over 20 acquisitions and 25 de novo locations. In her spare time, Amanda loves to the Florida outdoors and spending time with her dogs.
JOHN KOVACS, VP OF SALES
John Kovacs
John Kovacs is the Vice President of Sales at H2 Health. John oversees the sales, marketing and branding functions of the company and loves the unique opportunity to develop new markets, brand and display therapy excellence and have a hand in the creative national growth of H2 Health.
John is able to combine skills that he acquired from his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Ball State University and Master of Health Administration degree from the University of South Carolina, as well as 20+ years’ experience in outpatient physical therapy. He prides himself in his ability to connect with other human beings and find ways to add value for the benefit of patient care.
John lives in Jacksonville, Florida and enjoys surfing, running, and collecting Star Wars in his spare time.
NATASHA KUMAR, VP OF REVENUE CYCLE
Natasha Kumar
Natasha Kumar is Vice President of Revenue Cycle at H2 Health. She provides operational leadership to achieve corporate cash-flow optimization and financial integration of new acquisitions. Natasha holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and Master of Business Administration from University of Toledo. She has 20 years of experience in Health Care IT and Revenue Cycle Management and her range of experience includes strategic planning, organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, data analytics, and contract negotiation.
Prior to H2, Natasha served as VP of Revenue Cycle at Beacon Orthopedic, a PE back physician practice and surgery centers. Before that, she led the RCM operations at Mayfield Brain & Spine and served as a Management Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Earlier in her career, Natasha managed Business Systems and supported core IT functionalities at various healthcare settings including acute care, multi-specialty ambulatory practices, and community behavioral health center.
When not at work Natasha enjoys spending time with her family, the great outdoors, and deepening her yoga practice.
STEFANIE ATKINS, VP OF MANAGED CARE
Stefanie Atkins
Stefanie Atkins is the Vice President of Managed Care for H2 Health. She is responsible for leading all aspects of provider network strategy, providing leadership and support to staff and evaluate/develop processes, policies and procedures for the Managed Care department.
Prior to working at H2 Health, Stefanie obtained her Bachelors in Healthcare Administration from the Barry University. After graduating, Stefanie has worked for a variety of healthcare companies over the last 20 years spreading her expertise and knowledge These include major companies such as Aetna, Humana, and Mednax.
Outside of work, Stefanie enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
ROBIN KELLER, DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE
Robin Keller
Robin Keller is the Director of Compliance for H2 Health. She is responsible for enforcing policies and procedures and all federal and state guidelines as they relate to employee and facility licensure, Medicare and state certifications, and employee safety and risk management for the company. She also serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer for H2 Health.
Robin is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky with degrees in Accounting and Business Education. She brings 30+ years of service in the healthcare industry as she transitioned to H2 Health from Heartland Rehabilitation Services while starting her healthcare employment journey with Humana. Her knowledge and experiences with establishing policies and procedures and managing regulatory compliance through various lines of business will support H2 Health as it continues to grow.
COREY ZIMMERMAN, DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES
Corey Zimmerman
Corey Zimmerman is the Director of Clinical Services for H2 Health. He ensures the highest quality care is provided to patients nationwide. Corey has the opportunity to leverage his passion for numbers and metrics with reporting, as well as mentor and collaborate with clinicians regarding best practices and improving overall clinical efficiency.
Prior to coming to H2 Health, Corey graduated with a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University in 2002. Since graduating, he’s worked as a Physical Therapist for multiple outpatient physical therapy companies in New York City and Florida, holding clinical director titles and gaining extensive clinical management experience on the front lines.
After work, Corey enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching sports, cooking, eating, exercising, and being lazy on the weekends! He is a die-hard NY Knicks, Florida Gators, NY Giants, and Jacksonville Jaguar fan.
RACHEL HUNKELE, DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Rachel Hunkele
Rachel Hunkele graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2001 and a Masters of Business and Administration from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota in 2015. She started as a staff physical therapist and worked her way up through the year into a clinical manager and market manager, overseeing up to 27 outpatient clinics in multiple regions for a large outpatient rehab practice. After this, she worked several other setting to broaden her knowledge and expertise in the therapy industry, including in a start up, insurance based company and in inpatient settings before finding her home with H2 health.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time and traveling with her 2 daughters and her husband, Tom, who can also be found on the Philadelphia Eagles sidelines as their Head Athletic trainer.
ALEX CRAWFORD, BRAND MANAGER
Alex Crawford
Alex Crawford is the Brand Manager for H2 Health. She is responsible for all things related to the company’s logo and marketing image, including all print material, social media, website, advertising, press releases, and email communication.
Prior to working at H2 Health, Alex obtained her Bachelors in Marketing from the University of North Florida, where she was an active member of the Women in Business Society and Economic Society. During her time in college, she also studied at the European Business School in Paris, France. After graduating, Alex worked with many different healthcare companies including Ascension St Vincent’s Medical Center, Heartland Rehabilitation Services and senior living.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her pets, traveling to new cities, and being outdoors.
KAREN BAKAN, ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER
Karen Bakan
Karen Bakan is the Administrative Manager for H2 Health responsible for revenue cycle management. She attended the Institute for Advancement of Medical Sciences and for over 30 years she has worked in outpatient rehabilitation administration successfully managing billing, payment processing and revenue collection. Karen is always available to assist our patients, providing them with excellent customer service when they have questions regarding their accounts or insurance benefits.
